Kiddo and I have been running lately. Not running from anyone, just running for exercise. It’s been nice. We run a mile and then stop by the ice cream shop on the way home so we have a reward, although I’ve heard that rewarding yourself with food is not a good idea but it works for us right now, so I’ll keep doing it. We have run together before but the last two times we have just gone a mile and tried not to stop at all. The first mile we ran was somewhere around 13 and a half minutes. The last one was about 12 and a half, so we’re doing better. If we can just make progress every time, even if it’s just shaving a couple seconds off of our time, I’ll feel good. I’d like to get back down to a 7 or 8 minute mile like I could run in middle/high school.
